At 0436 this on Friday 15th July 2016, Guernsey Coastguard received a call from the local fishing vessel “Amy Blue” asking for assistance, the fishing vessel suffered a total power failure approximately 3nm North of Sark.

The Spirit of Guernsey departed St Peter Port at 0505 and found the “Amy Blue” at 0521; after attaching a towline to the casualty at 0530 the lifeboat returned to St Peter Port with the Amy Blue in tow arriving at 0650.
