“Spirit of Guernsey” responded to Jetski broken down, 2 persons on board on the west coast of Guernsey

1919 A call was overheard by Guernsey Coastguard from a Jet-ski, on the west coast requesting a  tow as the Jet ski had a flat battery and was therefore unable to proceed.

1920 An “ All Ships “ broadcast was unsuccessful, as no other vessels were in the area able to assist the disabled Jetski.

1955 “ Spirit of Guernsey” passing Pierheads heading north. Eta on scene 2030

2007 Casualty has drifted rapidly in the tide and is now off Port Soif and has eyes on the Lifeboat.

2016  “Spirit of Guernsey“ alongside casualty, casualties on board, retrieving the Jetski.

2030 Lifeboat returning to St Peter Port.  All accounted for and safe.

2047 “ Spirit of Guernsey” Pierheads . Casualty vessel being off loaded.

2153 Lifeboat back on station.

This incident had a good conclusion as the Casualty Vessel was carrying a good VHF and was therefore able to communicate efficiently with the Emergency Services.

The Lifeboat Crew picked up the two Males and their Jetski in Portinfer this evening after their Jetski's Battery had failed. The two men had all the right equipment but needed help as they couldn't make their own way ashore. Lifeboat Operation's Manager Peter Gill can be seen stood on the Ro-Ro Bamp waiting to take the Lifeboats Mooring Lines and meeting the two Men the Lifeboat Crew had just bought back to St Peter Port.
