Engine failure on french yacht

The relief lifeboat Daniel L Gibson was called out at 05:10 local time on Thursday 21st August 2014, to go to the assistance of a French yacht which had engine failure at the top of the Little Russel. As conditions were calm and the vessel was unable to sail, and no other vessel was able to offer assistance, the lifeboat was tasked.

The Daniel L Gibson returned with the casualty in tow and arrived safely back at St Peter Port at 06:00, and was back on station at 06:10.
