The St Peter Port Lifeboat was launched at 10:25 on Sunday 27th May, 2018 to go to the aid of an American registered vessel, the Liberty 2 with two crew on board.  The vessel had suffered engine failure and was unsure of its position.  The vessel was located 20 miles North West of Guernsey, and the lifeboat was alongside at 11:22.  A tow was established, and the lifeboat returned to St Peter Port with the casualty at 14:08.

The Spirit of Guernsey was back on station at 14:35.
